Creates NC programs for aerospace components. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing material, component geometry, workholding, and equipment utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
