Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Provide differentiated instruction tailored to various learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
- Utilize evidence-based practices, assistive technology, and behavior interventions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Active or eligible State Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP processes, and inclusive instructional practices
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of student needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students across a range of disabilities (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, emotional/behavioral disorders, learning disabilities)
- Familiarity with co-teaching or inclusive classroom models
- Experience with assistive technology and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
