What you can expect
As our Associate EMEA Employment Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment matters. Based in an extremely environment, supporting Zoom’s global workforce from our Dublin-Office. You will partner with Zoom’s EMEA People Experience team and advise on day-to-day management of employee disputes, internal investigations, performance issues, and works council matters. We're looking for a self-starter, problem solver, and business-minded legal partner.
About the Team
The EMEA Employment Counsel will join a talented and collaborative cross-border Employment Legal team. This role will report into the Associate General Counsel, Employment and will be located in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Providing strategic advice to the People Experience team on a broad range of employment issues
Delivering quick and pragmatic advice to the business on employment obligations across jurisdictions
Advising on employment law matters related to Works Council issues
Collaborating with People Experience and Compliance to create policies, standards, and business procedures that foster compliance with various employment laws and regulations
Drafting and reviewing various types of employment agreements, policies, work rules, and other employment-related documents
Managing pre-litigation and litigation disputes and developing creative resolution strategies with the assistance of outside counsel, as needed
Building and maintaining relationships with senior leaders, members of the Legal Department, the People Experience team, and external employment counsel
Being the primary contact for your region, addressing program queries, providing support and updates, and managing relevant content and processes.
What we’re looking for
A fully qualified lawyer in a relevant European jurisdiction with 5+ years of experience
Bring prior international employment law experience, with knowledge of Germany, Netherlands, and France employment law considered a plus
Have gained prior in-house experience or having completed secondments
Have advisory experience in work counsel matters
Partner closely with the EMEA People Experience team to assist with day-to-day legal issues and employee relations advice
Handle employee-related privacy and GDPR matters
Demonstrate a highly responsive, collaborative, and service-oriented attitude Have developed independent, practical solutions to complex legal issues that are clearly and timely communicated and aligned with business objectives
Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
