Requirements of position
 
Previous experience as a route sales driver required
Experience delivering to grocery stores or superstores preferred
Merchandising experience preferred
Valid driver’s license required
High school diploma or equivalent required
 
Responsibilities of position
 
 Jobsquad is currently hiring for DSD Routes in which you will be responsible for delivering food to grocery stores. The primary purpose of this role is to service established customers by creating an order, delivering and rotating product, and stocking shelves. Product will be pulled from the local warehouse and delivered throughout Cape May county in a box truck.
 
A valid DOT Medical Card is required for this route
 
This position has:
  • Four grocery stores on this route (locations will need deliveries several times per week)
  • Deliveries will be made throughout Cape May county
  • Starting rate of $25-28.00/hr.
  • Off every Wednesday and Sunday
  • Some holidays may be required
  • Start time is typically between 3:00am-5:00am
  • Route is designed to be 8-10 hours/day
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate must be willing to perform the following tasks and meet the criteria below:
  • Must be able to drive up to a 26-foot box truck.
  • Travel between stores in the area.
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 20 lbs. – will be walking up and down the back of the cargo truck loading and unloading products.
  • Must be able to keep a schedule assigned to the route. Must be able to use a handheld computer.
  • Must be able to manage inventory.
  • Must be able to check-in/check-out products accurately with the receiving personnel.
