About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading Asia-focused financial services group to recruit a Senior Manager, Fund Accounting (Hedge Fund) for its Hong Kong fund services team. This is a senior leadership role overseeing the full spectrum of hedge fund accounting and financial reporting for a growing portfolio of hedge fund clients across Asia.

The firm is a well-established name in Asian capital markets with a dedicated fund services division providing NAV calculation, financial reporting, investor services, and regulatory compliance. You will join a dynamic team with direct client interaction and the opportunity to shape the fund accounting function as the platform continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly NAV production for hedge fund portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Review and approve complex valuations including multi-class funds, performance and management fee calculations, series accounting, side pockets, and derivative instruments
  • Oversee preparation and review of audited and unaudited financial statements under IFRS or US GAAP
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for fund managers and investment advisors
  • Lead client discussions on NAV results, valuation methodologies, and fund performance
  • Manage and coordinate year-end audit processes with external auditors
  • Implement and oversee FATCA/CRS compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Perform AML checks for investors
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior fund accountants and fund accountants
  • Support new fund launches and client onboarding from an accounting and systems perspective
What We Are Looking For
  • 7-10+ years of fund accounting experience within fund administration, with at least 6 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • Strong hedge fund accounting expertise — NAV calculations, performance fees, series accounting, derivative valuations (not PE/private markets)
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from a reputable institution
  • CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience with fund accounting systems such as PFS-Paxus, Advent Geneva, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated team leadership with a track record of mentoring and developing staff
  • Strong verbal and written English; Mandarin proficiency an advantage
  • Stable career history with solid academic credentials
