We are looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our client, a local government organisation in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs, on a 5-week temporary contract.
This is a great opportunity for a council-experienced drainage professional who can step into the role and contribute immediately, with minimal training required.
About the Opportunity Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical drainage advice and undertaking a range of development and planning-related assessments.

About the Opportunity Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical drainage advice and undertaking a range of development and planning-related assessments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking Legal Point of Discharge assessments
- Reviewing Build Over Easement applications
- Reviewing On-Site Detention (OSD) drainage plans, including OSD/PSD parameter reviews
- Completing straightforward drainage plan reviews rather than complex drainage design assessments
- Providing drainage referrals and technical advice for Planning Permit applications
- Liaising with internal teams and providing practical engineering advice on drainage matters
- Immediate start – an opportunity to get started quickly
- 5-week temporary contract with a well-regarded local government organisation
