Market Data -Desktop Support Specialist

A Global Financial firm is seeking a talented Desktop Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will Work with a highly motivated distributed Market Data team located in Asia Pacific, providing world class support and consultant on multi-vendor Market Data products to internal business clients.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, troubleshooting ability and the confidence to work with both business users and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote desktop / end-user support to internal business users
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, applications, peripherals and IT equipment
- Support and maintain devices and software related to market-data services and financial applications
- Work with business users to understand issues, requirements and requests
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application and Market Data teams to resolve technical issues
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, UDP and connectivity-related issues
- Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT equipment and applications
- Respond to user enquiries through email, phone and internal meetings
- Support change, incident and problem-management activities
- Provide support for market-data-related devices and services used by business users
- Participate in training and continuously develop knowledge of financial technology and market-data services

Required skills:
- 2–5 years of experience in Desktop Support, End User Support, EUC, IT Support or a similar role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop environments
- Experience supporting hardware, software, peripherals and IT devices
- Basic to good knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and UDP
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work directly with business users and coordinate with technical teams
- Good documentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a distributed, international team
