As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take technical ownership of Balance of Plant electrical systems and support the project through detailed design, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead detailed design activities for LV/MV/HV electrical systems
- Prepare engineering documentation, including SLDs, cable sizing, technical specifications, and protection settings
- Review and integrate vendor and subcontractor electrical designs
- Provide technical support to procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
- Support site installation activities and conduct technical inspections when required
- Degree qualified in Electrical or Power Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience within power plant construction or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV systems and BoP electrical design
- Proficient with AutoCAD and ETAP
- Deep knowledge of Australian Standards
- NER registration through Engineers Australia
- Hydropower experience beneficial but not essential
