GI Group Recruitment Ireland is partnering with a leading medical healthcare company to recruit a Medical Sales Specialist (Endoscopy) to drive growth across the Munster region, with wider exposure across Ireland as required.
This role will suit an experienced, commercially focused medical sales professional who enjoys working at pace in the field—developing trusted relationships with clinical teams, protecting and growing key hospital accounts, and consistently delivering against targets. You’ll join a fast-moving team in an established market, with strong product demand and a clear remit to further increase revenue through smart territory planning, stakeholder engagement, and new opportunity development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust territory plan to meet and exceed sales targets across the Endoscopy portfolio.
- Manage and grow existing hospital accounts through structured call planning, stakeholder mapping, and ongoing relationship development.
- Identify, progress, and close new business opportunities within the territory, building a healthy pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders (e.g., Endoscopy Unit teams, Theatre, Procurement, CNS/Clinical Leads, Materials Management).
- Deliver high-impact product demonstrations, in-services, and presentations, ensuring product value is clearly understood.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer service, quick issue resolution, and smooth delivery/implementation.
- Maintain strong awareness of the market: competitor activity, product developments, pricing dynamics, and broader healthcare trends.
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting, forecasting, and CRM updates, ensuring visibility of activity and pipeline.
- Represent the company professionally, acting as a credible partner to customers and supporting the wider commercial strategy.
- Undertake other duties as required.
Requirements
- Degree in business, marketing, nursing, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of performance in medical sales and territory management (targets, pipeline, account growth).
- Experience selling endoscopy consumables is highly preferred (strong adjacent consumables/surgical experience also considered).
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with clinical and procurement stakeholders.
- Confident negotiator with a consultative approach and a clear focus on outcomes.
- Highly organised with excellent time management; able to manage a busy travel schedule and prioritise effectively.
- Able to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
