Talent Acquisition Advisor

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join a local council in the South East on a 3-month contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end recruitment experience who enjoys partnering with hiring managers and stakeholders and can balance compliance requirements with a strong customer-focused approach.

The role

• Build strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to capture and scope meaningful, fit-for-purpose assignment briefs.
• Partner with business leaders to coordinate end-to-end recruitment activity, following an agreed and consistent recruitment methodology.
• Deliver a high level of customer-focused service to hiring managers and candidates, helping to attract candidates and promote Council opportunities.
• Work within PageUp to raise position requisitions and facilitate end-to-end recruitment workflows, including the offer process.
• Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process.
• Work proactively with Business Partners, Injury Management and Payroll to gather insights and support recruitment and onboarding requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve and optimise recruitment processes and support the implementation of initiatives aligned with P&C strategy and processes.
• Support fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment practices, including background checks and appropriate records management.
• Ensure recruitment activity is managed in line with relevant policies, procedures and best practice.
• Support the recruitment process across shortlisting, screening, interviews, references and pre-employment checks as required.

About you We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment or a similar HR role.
• Strong end-to-end recruitment experience and the ability to manage multiple vacancies.
• PageUp experience, ideally within a busy recruitment environment.
• Experience working within a regulated or highly process-driven environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers and business leaders.
• A strong customer service focus and the ability to create a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
• An understanding of fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment practices.
• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of compliance, background checks and records management.
• A proactive approach to identifying and improving recruitment processes.
