BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The OEM Business Unit is dedicated to developing real production fastener solutions for our customers by supporting them with custom engineering, valuable product insight, and a global portfolio of suppliers. This job requires the employee to collect current market information insuring accurate and competitive pricing is provided on all quotations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partners with manager on sourcing project implementations with minimal disruption to operations.
• Collaborates with operations and suppliers to optimize the procure-to-pay process and establish supplier relationships.
• Assists in the day-to-day operations of the sourcing department.
• Collaborates with departments to provide insight into competitive pricing and quotations.
• Assist with all source-related functions.
• Regularly provides detailed status updates and communication to Supply Chain and business stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with OEM sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics.
• Helps maintain data integrity in all systems and ensure required documentation is received and required process steps are completed.

• Provides accurate and timely pricing information on all quotations.
• Matches customer items with correct global suppliers.
• Enter supplier prices, lead-time, deviations, etc. into a quote system and maintain all supporting documentation.
• Manages the quotation and follow-up process in support of the organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Grows product sales and margins by making accurate pricing decisions through strategic supplier selection, applying product knowledge and leveraging the Sourcing team's industry experience.

• Educates Inside and Outside Sales Associates on the value of pricing decisions based on the selected supplier.

• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Engineering) or two years of relevant experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills required.
• Must have a strong sense of urgency to keep a steady pulse on moving forward with projects, processes, and deadlines.
• Ability to lead yourself and be self-motivated.
• Excellent analytical skills are required.
• Strong mathematical skills with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Have a mindset of integrity for best practices and for being a professional in manner and demeanor.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Direct OEM Fastener or Component supply chain experience preferred.
• Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Drawings preferred.

Other Requirements:

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Position requires up to 5% of travel

Compensation starting at $45600 - $63088 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
