About the Role
As a Senior Kubernetes/AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and managing modern cloud infrastructure solutions. Working within a highly skilled technical environment, you will deliver secure, scalable and automated AWS platforms, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies. You will contribute to infrastructure modernisation initiatives, support operational readiness activities and drive best-practice DevOps and cloud engineering outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance. Candidates with a Defence-recognised Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly regarded. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment prior to engagement.

About the Role
As a Senior Kubernetes/AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and managing modern cloud infrastructure solutions. Working within a highly skilled technical environment, you will deliver secure, scalable and automated AWS platforms, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies. You will contribute to infrastructure modernisation initiatives, support operational readiness activities and drive best-practice DevOps and cloud engineering outcomes.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure environments.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for platform services and new infrastructure deployments.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
- Create and maintain technical architecture and design documentation.
- Develop and execute infrastructure and platform testing activities.
- Support the migration and transformation of complex environments into AWS cloud platforms.
- Promote cloud-native engineering practices and infrastructure security best practices.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior DevOps or AWS Engineer specialising in Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
- Strong experience with cloud security principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise with containerisation technologies including Kubernetes, ECS and EKS.
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and AWS Landing Zone frameworks.
- Proven experience transitioning complex infrastructure environments to AWS.
- Strong automation, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps delivery capabilities.
- Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- 12-month initial contract with 2 x 12-month extension options.
- Opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical cloud and infrastructure programs.
