About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a leading Federal Government Agency to secure a Principal Cyber Security Architect who is accountable under broad direction to perform very complex work to provide security advice into the design, build and test of the Agency’s corporate and digital systems to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets.


About the Role

As the Principal Cyber Security Architect, you’ll be a pivotal leader responsible for applying extensive knowledge of cyber security best practices and Australian Government standards, including the ISM and PSPF, to ensure the certification, accreditation, and security of agency systems. This role involves designing and maintaining robust security architectures, leading critical projects to completion, and contributing to compliance activities such as IRAP assessments and risk evaluations. You’ll manage a diverse team, providing strategic leadership through coaching and mentoring, while driving the integration of effective security measures across ICT projects. You’ll independently deliver expert guidance, presentations, and technical advice to safeguard information assets, utilising innovative strategies to resolve complex security challenges. With strong stakeholder management skills, you will foster productive relationships internally and externally, ensuring the successful delivery of secure, high-quality solutions aligned with agency objectives.


About You

Are you a highly skilled Cyber Security professional with a passion for safeguarding critical systems? We are seeking a Principal Cyber Security Architect with a strong understanding of Australian Government security standards, including the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). Ideal candidates will hold tertiary qualifications in ICT security or management or demonstrate equivalent expertise through professional certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, or CISA.

This role requires Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance (with potential for higher clearance if required) and a national police check. The Benefits

You will be offered an excellent daily rate on a 12-month contract with the option of a further 2 x 12-month extensions. This role is open to both Hybrid and remote working applicants.
