The opportunity
You will join a collaborative multidisciplinary Internal Medicine team delivering specialist geriatric and rehabilitation services to a growing older population.
The role offers the opportunity to:
  • Provide expert assessment and management for older patients with complex medical, cognitive and functional needs
  • Work across acute, subacute and rehabilitation services
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, allied health and community-based teams
  • Support safe transitions between hospital, rehabilitation, residential and community care
  • Contribute to clinical leadership, governance and service development
  • Supervise, educate and mentor junior medical staff
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
  • Help shape services in response to the needs of a growing regional community
Remuneration and benefits
A competitive remuneration package valued at up to $564,548 per annum is available, including:
  • Base salary of $223,136–$282,912 per annum

About you
To be considered, you will hold or be eligible for:
  • Specialist registration in Geriatric Medicine with Ahpra
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or a recognised equivalent specialist qualification
  • Appropriate training and experience in Geriatric Medicine
Applications are encouraged from Australian and New Zealand-trained specialists, as well as suitably qualified internationally trained geriatricians eligible to pursue specialist registration in Australia.
