Project Manager, Manufacturing & Engineering

Location: Ireland | Remote with overseas travel required

An expanding precision engineering company is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate projects and manage a key overseas client relationship within the manufacturing and engineering sector.

You will act as the main point of contact between both organisations, overseeing communication, project delivery and process improvements. Candidates can be based anywhere in Ireland, with flexibility to work from home when not travelling. Travel to the overseas client will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day client relationship, ensuring clear communication and effective coordination.
  • Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering, production and supply chain teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Visit the overseas client as required to support collaboration and project delivery.
  • Review workflows and implement improvements to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor delivery, quality and service KPIs, reporting on project progress and milestones.
  • Manage project risks, resolve operational issues and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management, client services or account management within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Experience delivering projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders or partner organisations.
  • Strong communication, relationship management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive process improvements.
  • Willingness and availability to travel overseas as required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies would be an advantage.
