Overview
A leading provider of outsourced facilities services is seeking a Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the Greater Dublin Area. The role is focused on identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities across both public and private sector markets, while working closely with internal commercial, bid, and operational teams.
This role would suit a polished, commercially aware sales professional with a proven track record in field sales, solution selling, and managing longer-term bid-led opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned to wider commercial growth objectives.
- Generate and convert new business opportunities across target sectors including healthcare, education, life sciences, manufacturing, professional services, and commercial office space.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through discovery, qualification, bid coordination, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Work closely with bid, marketing, operations, and subject matter expert teams to deliver compelling customer solutions.
- Manage tender and bid activity, ensuring submissions are commercially strong, compliant, and aligned to client requirements.
- Maintain regular customer engagement with procurement teams, head office contacts, and senior stakeholders.
- Support CRM discipline, sales reporting, and pipeline visibility.
- Contribute to the achievement of annual revenue targets in the region of €1.5m to €2.5m.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in a business development, sales, or commercial role is ideal.
- Strong record of winning new business and delivering profitable growth in a service-led environment.
- Experience within facilities management, soft services, catering, cleaning, building services, or a comparable outsourced solutions environment is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the Irish public and private sector landscape would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales processes with long lead times.
- Comfortable influencing internal stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional support teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Resilient, goal-focused, and adaptable in approach.
Working pattern
- Territory focus: Greater Dublin Area/East of Ireland.
- Hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Customer meetings and field activity form part of the weekly routine.
Package and benefits
- Salary range of €65,000–€85,000 depending on experience.
- Uncapped-style commission structure based on won contract value, achievable €20,000+ OTE.
