What the job entails
The Head of Digital will report directly to the CEO and sit alongside the Head of Marketing, owning the business’s digital infrastructure, website performance and data intelligence. This is a strategically important role with responsibility for the design, rebranding, speed, UX and conversion performance of a growing portfolio of websites, currently four and scaling towards six or seven.
You will lead SEO direction, manage the senior SEO lead and technical SEO specialist, and ensure alignment with content and wider marketing activity. You will also own analytics, reporting and the digital tech stack, while overseeing designers, developers, web engineers and contractors working across website-focused projects. The role is highly strategic, with occasional hands-on input where needed, and requires close collaboration with product and marketing teams to drive delivery, performance and innovation.
Key requirements / What we look for
- Proven senior digital or ecommerce leadership experience, ideally in a high-growth business or agency environment
- Strong track record owning websites, CRO, analytics, tech stacks and digital product delivery
- Experience leading SEO strategy and managing specialist SEO teams
- Ability to oversee multiple websites or brands at once
- Strong people management skills and the confidence to handle direct, demanding personalities
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary is open, but expected to be north of £100,000, with circa £120,000 possible for exceptional candidates
- No formal bonus scheme; total package will be discussed on an all-in basis
