Site Engineer (Setting Out)

FRS Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join an established construction contractor on a new residential development in Arklow, Co. Wicklow.

The development will comprise 70 new homes, with construction expected to commence in October. Further works are planned within the area thereafter, providing excellent potential for continued local employment.

The successful candidate will have strong setting out experience and will work closely with the wider site team throughout the delivery of the development.

Responsibilities

• Complete setting out works across the residential development.
• Carry out levels, measurements and engineering site checks.
• Coordinate closely with site management and subcontractor teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and relevant technical information.
• Ensure construction works comply with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate engineering records throughout project delivery.
• Assist with quality control and technical site queries.
• Support the successful delivery of the overall development.

Requirements

• Previous Site Engineer experience within Irish or UK construction.
• Strong setting out experience across construction or civil projects.
• Total Stations and GPS experience are highly desirable.
• Relevant Engineering or Construction qualification would be preferred.
• Residential development experience would be particularly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of drawings and construction specifications.
• Good communication and site coordination skills required.
• Full driving licence required for the position.

Salary & Benefits

• €50,000 – €65,000 salary, depending on experience.
