Quality Inspector

Salary circa £35,000 | Bonus | 6:00am–2:30pm | 10:30am Finish Fridays | Overtime at 1.5x/2x

A Quality Inspector opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. You’ll complete in-process inspection, ensure components meet drawing and inspection requirements, support the internal non-conformance process and assist with the introduction of new products.

Quality Inspector responsibilities include –

• Completing in-process inspection in line with engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Using relevant measuring equipment to verify component conformance.
• Raising internal rejects and ensuring containment actions are recorded and communicated.
• Supporting Root Cause Analysis activities following non-conformance.
• Liaising with Engineering to support the smooth transition of new products through NPI.
• Accurately completing job documentation and recording work within the MRP system.

Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience –

• Previous Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector or Precision Inspector experience.
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and inspection plans.
• Experience inspecting precision manufactured components using standard measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of non-conformance reporting, containment and Root Cause Analysis.
