Located in Melbourne's western growth corridor, this Catholic co-educational secondary college serves Years 7 to 12 within the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) network. With approximately 1,000+ students on a spacious single campus, the college has grown significantly since its establishment and continues to expand alongside one of Melbourne's fastest-growing residential areas.

The school offers VCE, VCE Vocational Major, and 21 VET programs, supported by a dedicated Trade Training Centre and structured workplace learning. Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Position of Leadership: POL 3 (tenure 2027-2029)
• Start Date: Term 1, 2027 
• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
• Reports to: Director of Learning and Growth
• Salary: $89,218 – $127,692 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the English learning area across Years 7 to 12, overseeing curriculum planning, assessment design, moderation and data analysis in line with the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
• Mentor and support English teachers in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons and support colleagues and students in participation of the Wynspeak Public Speaking Competition
• Coordinate the annual review of English courses, assessments and teaching methods, and manage the Learning Area budget and annual booklist
• Work with the Learning Diversity Team to provide differentiated learning pathways for students with disability, gifted and talented students and EAL/D learners within the English learning area
• Facilitate regular meetings, professional learning and staff workshops for English teachers and support staff, and support new and beginning teachers with assessment and reporting requirements
• Actively promote the English learning area at college events including Open Days, Expo and subject selection information sessions across Years 7 to 12

About You
You're a qualified teacher who:

• Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
• Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
