Pay: Local: $40-$44/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview: Aequor Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to work at Salinas Valley State Prison. This role is within a correctional healthcare setting, where you will provide behavioral health and psychiatric nursing care to mentally ill and developmentally disabled patients while working alongside an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities:
• Provide general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients • Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor patients for changes in mental and physical condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections within scope of practice 
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient documentation 

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Psychiatric Technician experience
• Current and valid license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting

Assignment Details:
• 6-month contract with potential for extension
• Orientation/training provided
