A community-focused healthcare organization in southeast Kansas, near the Missouri and Oklahoma borders is looking to add a full-time Primary Care Physician to its team. BE/BC physicians with a background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics are encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care including preventive, acute and chronic care
  • Manage patient conditions through coordinated care plans and appropriate follow-up
  • Collaborate with behavioral health providers and other members of the care team
  • Provide referrals to internal specialists and external community resources as needed
  • Prescribe medications and provide clinical consultation to other providers
  • Opportunity to supervise APPs and medical students, as assigned
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain high standards of patient care
  • Serve a diverse, underserved patient population in a community-oriented setting
  • Participate in an after-hours call system, including care for the organization's inpatient population, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Full licensure to practice medicine in Kansas and/or Oklahoma
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an appropriate residency
  • Board Certified in the appropriate specialty
  • Strong community/public health orientation preferred
  • Commitment to serving underserved populations
