ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of commercial construction projects from inception through to completion. This role is suited to a Contract Administrator who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with senior leadership while maintaining ownership of your projects. Projects typically valued up to $50M and are based locally within Canberra.
DUTIES.
- Manage commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Oversee project programming, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, cash flow reports, and project reporting
- Coordinate procurement and subcontractor engagement
- Administer contracts, including variations, progress claims, and risk management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
- Background delivering projects end-to-end
- Strong understanding of project delivery and contracts administration
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Stable employment history with reputable builders
