You’ll work closely with experienced finance and property professionals and have the opportunity to further develop your accounting expertise within a specialist property environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day accounting activities across a portfolio of trusts and assets
- Completing trust accounting, including reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
- Processing tenant-related transactions, receipts, expenses and other property-related payments
- Assisting with monthly accounting and reporting processes
- Preparing account reconciliations and financial information
- Monitoring trust account balances and coordinating payments and owner remittances
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Supporting GST and taxation requirements
- Preparing information for trust and other relevant audits
- Working closely with property and asset management teams
- Identifying discrepancies, risks and opportunities and escalating where appropriate
- Contributing to improvements across finance processes and systems
About You
- We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in property trust accounting.
- You’ll need to be confident managing trust accounts and have a strong understanding of accounting requirements within a property environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required
- CA/CPA is desirable
