Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist - Employee Health

Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist needed for a temporary full-time contract opportunity at Yoh’s well-known non-profit client located in Duarte, CA.

This position is part of the Employee Health Department where they perform new hire screenings for employees of the medical center. You will be drawing titers for 8-16 new hires per day. During downtime, will support the front office. Must have MA Cert AND CPT or at minimum, CPT.
--> Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Job is anticipating to run through at least November 1, 2026 with likely extension.
 

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
• At least one year of medical front office experience as well as blood draw experience
• EMR (Epic) experience
• Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and must be a team player
• Looking for a responsible, friendly, and helpful employee

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Mainly administrative support but will be filling in as the Phlebotomist whenever they need
• Blood draws for approx. 8-16 new hires per day
• Greet patients and check them in/out
• Answer phones and schedule appointments when reception team is out
• Maintain employee health records: setting up medical charts, pulling results, and entering them into chart
• Prep charts for scanning and pull files
• Enter labs into EMR (Epic)
• Additional administrative responsibilities as-needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Strong phlebotomy skills
• Organizational skills and good at multi-tasking
• Active CPR/BLS
• (2) Step TB test or QuantiFERON Gold test
• Immunization/titer records for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, and Hep B series
• Current Flu shot
