About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a leading surveying and spatial services business delivering major infrastructure, civil, construction and development projects across Australia.
This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll oversee the successful delivery of survey projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, client satisfaction and commercial outcomes are achieved.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple survey and construction support projects, leading field teams and working closely with clients, engineers and project stakeholders.
You'll play a key role in planning resources, driving operational efficiency and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple surveying projects across infrastructure, civil and construction sectors.
- Lead, mentor and develop Survey Managers, Crew Leaders and field staff.
- Develop project plans, programmes and resource allocations.
- Monitor project budgets, profitability and commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, quality standards and company procedures.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational processes.
- Support tender submissions, project planning and business development opportunities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, equipment and project logistics.
You are an experienced operational leader who understands the demands of delivering large-scale construction and surveying projects. You enjoy leading people, solving problems and building strong client relationships.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager or Operations Manager within surveying, civil construction or infrastructure.
- Strong commercial and financial management capability.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of Australian construction standards and WHS requirements.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
