About the role
As a Payroll Controller, you will lead the centralised payroll function for approximately 4,500 employees. This role offers the chance to utilise your extensive SAP SuccessFactors expertise while overseeing payroll controls, compliance, reporting, and system administration in a complex environment.
Key responsibilities
  • Conduct and oversee fortnightly payroll processing through SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
  • Manage STP lodgements and ATO reporting requirements
  • Process and reconcile third-party payments and deductions
  • Maintain superannuation submissions and clearing house activities
  • Complete payroll year-end activities and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate payroll reconciliations and salary recalls
  • Assist with bulk payroll updates, salary increases and progression payments
  • Undertake payroll system testing, UAT activities and process improvements
  • Investigate complex payroll and system issues.
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in payroll management, with 5+ years including payroll control or senior payroll responsibilities
  • Strong capability in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Employee Central (EC)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage STP, PAYG, ATO submissions and payroll compliance
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and superannuation processing
  • Exposure to payroll system projects and UAT testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within a complex environment.
