Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join our client’s site in Cambridge, CB5.

Role Details

• Position: Maintenance Operative

• Location: Cambridge, CB5

• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

• Working Days: Monday to Friday

• Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm

• Duration: 1 month, with potential for extension

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs across the site, including:

• Carrying out small repairs and general maintenance tasks

• Repairing or replacing locks

• Resolving minor electrical issues, including tripped electrics

• Replacing bulbs and light fittings where required

• Completing paint touch-ups

• Reporting any larger maintenance issues when necessary

• Helping to keep the site safe, clean and well maintained

Requirements

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role

• Good practical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to carry out a range of minor repairs independently

• Reliable and flexible approach to work

• Good attention to detail

• Health and safety awareness

This is a great opportunity for a practical and reliable Maintenance Operative looking for a Monday-to-Friday position in Cambridge, initially for one month with the potential for extension.
