The Opportunity
We are supporting a major infrastructure and defence-related programme in Scotland and are seeking an experienced SC (Security Cleared) Planner to join a high-performing project controls team based in Glasgow.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a complex, regulated delivery environment where planning, schedule integrity, and governance are critical to successful programme execution.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring robust planning controls are in place to support informed decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
Establish and manage baselines in line with programme governance requirements
Monitor progress against key milestones and identify critical path impacts
Produce planning reports, dashboards, and schedule performance updates
Support change impact assessments and evaluate schedule implications
Conduct schedule analysis including float, logic checks, and progress validation
Support NEC-style planning requirements where applicable
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
Support monthly reporting cycles and programme controls governance
Ensure planning data is accurate, consistent, and audit-ready
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Project Planner within infrastructure, defence, energy, nuclear, or regulated environments
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
Experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules
Strong understanding of critical path analysis and schedule performance measurement
Experience working within structured governance or controlled programme environments
Active Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain SC clearance
Desirable
NEC contract planning experience
Experience working on defence, infrastructure, or public sector programmes
Exposure to integrated project controls environments (cost, risk, planning)
Experience supporting assurance or audit requirements
