Manufacturing Production Manager (m/w/d) in Berlin / ZNMI238130

We are currently looking for a support staff member for one of our major clients who meets the following requirements:

Project Description:
Our client, an innovative aerospace company, is looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Production Manager (m/f/d) to lead satellite production operations at its Berlin manufacturing site. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing the production team, establishing efficient manufacturing processes and scaling operations while collaborating closely with engineering, materials management and international manufacturing teams.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop and grow the manufacturing production technician team
• Own the daily production schedule, including shift planning, build sequencing and kit handover
• Drive key manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, on-time delivery and first-pass yield
• Partner with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement continuous improvements
• Coordinate with materials management to ensure kit availability, inventory accuracy and shortage mitigation
• Collaborate with international manufacturing teams on technology transfer and production handovers
• Train, mentor and develop production technicians
• Establish and lead daily and weekly production meetings and status reviews
• Manage production escalations, rework activities and schedule-critical issues
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and ITAR/EAR export control requirements
• Support the scaling and continuous development of the Berlin manufacturing site

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline
• Manufacturing experience, including at least in a production leadership role
• Proven experience managing complex interdisciplinary manufacturing operations
• Experience leading manufacturing teams within regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, semiconductor or medical devices
• Experience with kit-based or work-order-driven manufacturing environments
• Strong production planning and scheduling expertise
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Strong people leadership, coaching and performance management skills
• Hands-on leadership approach with excellent organizational skills
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and multiple time zones

Nice to have:

• Experience scaling new manufacturing facilities from startup to high-volume production
• Experience in satellite, spacecraft or aerospace manufacturing
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Experience working in ITAR/EAR-controlled manufacturing environments
• Experience managing distributed or multi-site manufacturing operations
• German language skills or willingness to learn German

• Location: Berlin, Germany (100% on-site)
• Duration: Long-term assignment
• Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
