Commercial Electrician - Edinburgh - Salary up to £48,000
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician / Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team, working across a range of prestigious commercial client sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled electrical engineer, ideally with previous Working Supervisor or Senior Engineer experience, who is confident working independently and managing the day-to-day electrical requirements of commercial properties.

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician / Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team, working across a range of prestigious commercial client sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled electrical engineer, ideally with previous Working Supervisor or Senior Engineer experience, who is confident working independently and managing the day-to-day electrical requirements of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial properties.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Complete electrical installations, testing and remedial works as required.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations, health & safety procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and site teams.
- Work independently while taking ownership of electrical tasks and site requirements.
- Support and provide guidance to other engineers where required, particularly where previous supervisory experience can be utilised.
- Participate in a shared 1-in-4/5 on-call rota.
Ideally, you will have:
- Relevant electrical qualifications, such as 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing.
- Proven commercial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience working across multiple commercial client sites.
- Previous Working Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A professional and reliable approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- A full UK driving licence.
- £48,400 annual salary
- 25 days annual holiday
- £150 on-call allowance for each on-call week
- Company van provided for business use
- Working hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Predominantly Edinburgh-based, with one day per week in Glasgow
