Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state of California
- Previous experience highly preferred: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections type setting
- Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills
- Strong presentation skills
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Case management for work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses, while collaborating with EHS
- Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
- Assist with the delivery of the medical surveillance program (audiometric, respiratory, vision, and urine collection)
- Support company policy in regards to Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace - coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause)
- Administer immunizations/vaccines
- Provide counseling, health education, and training programs
- Dispense OTC medications
- Respond to medical emergencies and administer first-aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries
What You Need to Bring to the Table
- BLS certified
- Must be comfortable working autonomously
- Prior experience using the EMR system, Cority, a big plus!
- Preferred certifications: CAOHC (hearing conservation), NIOSH (spirometry), COHN (Certified Occupational Health Nurse), and CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist)
- Proof of US Citizenship (ie valid US Passport or original US Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging
