Management Accountant

Hero Calling | Management Accountant | Tier 1 Mining | 3 Month Contract

Calling all heroes (immediately available accountants), we are recruiting on behalf of a tier 1 mining and resources organisation for a qualified Management Accountant to support month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and business stakeholder engagement.

This is a hands-on contract opportunity for an immediately available accountant who can quickly integrate into an established finance team and add value from day one.

About the Role:

Working within an established finance function, this role will provide hands-on support across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

You will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to prepare journals, analyse monthly results, provide meaningful commentary and coordinate forecast and budget submissions.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing large data sets, communicating with a broad range of stakeholders and working to strict month-end deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with business stakeholders before and throughout the month-end process.
• Prepare and post month-end journals.
• Analyse monthly financial results and prepare clear commentary.
• Support the preparation and coordination of budgets and forecasts.
• Engage with stakeholders to collect, review and validate financial information.
• Manage and interpret large financial data sets.
• Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Identify reporting issues and ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Short but Sweet:

We are seeking a technically capable and commercially minded Management Accountant with:

• Full CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
• Demonstrated budgeting and forecasting capability.
• Working knowledge of Power BI.
• Confidence managing large and complex data sets.
• High attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Previous mining or resources sector experience is advantageous.
• Immediate or short-notice availability.
