Senior Financial Accountant | Resources

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance team of an ASX-listed resources business with an international presence on a 12+ month fixed term contract.

Reporting to an experienced Finance leader, you’ll play a key role across the Group’s financial accounting and reporting activities, with exposure to a broad range of stakeholders and international operations.

The Role

This is a broad financial accounting position with responsibility across:

• Supporting monthly and periodic financial reporting activities.
• Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Preparing and reviewing key financial account reconciliations.
• Supporting statutory reporting and external audit processes.
• Providing technical accounting support across the Finance function.
• Assisting with financial analysis and reporting for the wider business.
• Contributing to finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and ways of working.

What You Bring

You’re a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively and operating in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Solid experience across financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/AASB and accounting principles.
• Experience working through month-end and reporting cycles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in a listed, resources or other complex corporate environment will be highly regarded.
