The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Accountant to join the Auckland team.

Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering accounting and compliance services while developing your technical expertise and client relationship skills.

• Preparation of annual financial statements and income tax returns.
• Preparation and filing of GST returns and other tax compliance requirements.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Providing accounting support and responding to client queries.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service.

• 2–4 years’ experience in a public practice accounting environment.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• A sound understanding of New Zealand accounting and tax requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• CA/CPA studies completed, underway or an interest in pursuing a professional qualification.
