Graduate/Junior Site Engineer

FRS Recruitment are seeking a Graduate / Junior Site Engineer to join a well-established property developer with a strong pipeline of projects across Waterford City.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate, or an Engineer in the early stages of their career, looking to develop their site experience while working alongside an experienced construction team.

All current and upcoming projects are based in Waterford, offering excellent long-term stability for someone looking to establish their construction career locally. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied pipeline of projects, including large residential developments, mixed-use schemes and Leisure projects.

Previous placement experience on a building project in Ireland would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting out using Total Stations and GPS.
• Support QA, BCAR records and general site documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor and supplier coordination across projects.
• Review drawings and communicate information to relevant site teams.
• Support daily engineering activities alongside experienced site personnel.
• Assist with programme monitoring, snagging and project handovers.
• Maintain accurate records throughout each stage of construction.
• Develop practical engineering knowledge across varied building projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Irish building placement experience is highly advantageous.
• One to two years' building experience also welcomed.
• Total Stations and GPS experience are highly desirable.
• Good understanding of drawings and construction site activities.
• Strong communication, organisation and willingness to develop professionally.
• Full Irish driving licence would be highly advantageous.
