About the role
As a Permanent Full-Time Radiologist. You'll manage a broad diagnostic caseload including ultrasound, MRI, CT with the option to undertake light interventional and mammography work. Serving a community of around 47,000, your time will be split as 70% clinical (inpatient, emergency, outpatient imaging) and 30% non-clinical, with on‑call duties (typically one in four nights, from home). Responsibilities include interpreting scans, triaging and protocolising requests, consulting with clinicians, and supporting radiology techs. You’ll also engage in teaching local medical staff and registrars, and collaborate with leadership to develop new imaging services and quality improvement. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the launch of  a new state‑of‑the‑art Research Institute MRI centre focusing on mild traumatic brain injury.

Eligibility
  • MCNZ vocational registration in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology or eligibility under Special Scope (Locum Tenens)
  • Overseas-trained radiologists must complete source verification of qualifications (via EPIC) as part of NZ medical registration
  • Must demonstrate strong clinical, teaching, and team collaboration skills
