Apply directA New York City-based nonprofit services organization is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Safe Options Support (SOS) team in Upper Manhattan.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (40 hours per week; 1 hour unpaid lunch)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting health assessments with outreach teams
- Supporting individuals transitioning from homelessness
- Facilitating hospital escalations when needed
- Participating in team meetings and debriefs
- Documenting and managing clinical tasks
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience with Outreach to Homeless populations
- Proficiency with Health Assessments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Substance Use populations
- Behavioral Health experience
- Crisis Intervention skills
