General Manager

Reporting directly to the owners, this is a broad executive leadership role with responsibility for the overall performance of the business. You'll lead a capable management team across operations, construction, sales, estimating, finance, customer service and business development, ensuring the organisation continues to grow profitably while maintaining the culture and reputation that has underpinned its long-term success.

This role offers genuine influence over both strategy and day-to-day operations, providing the opportunity to modernise systems, improve business performance and develop the next generation of leaders within the organisation.

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the business.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and profitably.
• Support major tenders, commercial negotiations and business development initiatives.
• Partner with the finance function on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and profitability.
• Strengthen business systems, technology platforms and operational processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.

About You

You are an experienced senior leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership. You have successfully led multidisciplinary teams within construction, manufacturing, engineering or project-based businesses and understand how to drive both commercial performance and strong workplace culture.
