The Golf Foundation is a charity that uses golf to help children and young people grow in confidence, support their wellbeing and find a sport they can love for life, whatever their background.
This is an exciting time to join the Foundation. A major new multi-year junior golf programme launches in Scotland this year. A Ryder Cup comes to Ireland next year. And flagship championships including The Open, the AIG Women's Open, the BMW PGA Championship and the British Masters provide opportunities to introduce thousands of young people to the game.
This newly created senior leadership role exists to make those opportunities count for the long term — building strong partnerships, creating lasting community impact and ensuring the Foundation's work reaches more young people than ever before.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and growing the Foundation’s national partnerships across Scotland, Ireland and Wales, working closely with the CEO to strengthen key relationships.
- Guiding flagship partnership programmes from development through delivery, ensuring investment creates meaningful opportunities for young people.
- Turning major championships into lasting local participation opportunities, building strong foundations that remain beyond the event itself.
- Measuring and communicating impact through both evidence and storytelling, helping the Foundation’s work reach audiences well beyond golf.
- Identifying opportunities for new investment, sponsorship and partnerships, working with colleagues to develop compelling propositions.
- Contributing to organisational strategy as a member of the Senior Management Team, reporting regularly to the CEO and Board.
What success looks like in your first year
- Successfully launched the Scottish programme, demonstrating its potential to create impact beyond golf.
- Established strong and trusted partnership relationships across Scotland, Ireland and Wales, with clear plans for future collaboration and growth.
- Developed meaningful legacy programmes around major championships, creating opportunities for more young people to engage with the sport.
- Built confidence among the Board, partners and funders through impact reporting that combines robust evidence with powerful stories.

How to apply and what happens next
The Golf Foundation is partnering with level= to run a fair and inclusive recruitment process using an anonymised, work sample task approach. This means candidates are assessed on their skills, experience and approach to the role.
The recruitment process will include:
- Register your interest by: Friday 21st August 2026, 5pm. You will receive an automatic email within 24 hours with a link to the Candidate Job Pack. Please check your junk/spam folder as well, just in case the email took an unexpected detour.
- Complete anonymised work sample tasks by: Monday 24th August 2026, 12pm.
- Interviews: Early September 2026 (date to be confirmed).
At the first stage, there is no CV review, but it’s still important to ensure that your CV is up-to-date and gives your best showing. Instead, you will complete five short scenario-based questions (250 words each) focused on how you would approach the role. Your responses will be anonymised and scored independently by multiple reviewers against criteria agreed in advance with the Golf Foundation.
Everyone who completes the assessment stage will receive feedback on their submission.
If you need any support or adjustments to take part in the process, including alternative formats, additional time or a BSL interpreter at interview, please contact and we will be happy to help.
The Golf Foundation welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and values the different experiences, perspectives and skills that strengthen its team and its impact.
