ASC is at the forefront of delivering Australia’s sovereign submarine capability; an enduring mission central to national security and long-term strategic readiness.

As Australia advances its acquisition of nuclear-powered submarines, this role sits at the core of a highly complex nuclear sustainment environment. The General Manager – Program Delivery will play a pivotal role in enabling operational readiness and sustaining a capability that is critical to the nation’s future defence posture.

This is a role defined by scale, complexity and consequence, requiring sound judgement, strategic influence and confident leadership at the highest level.

The Opportunity

As General Manager – Program Delivery, you will lead the delivery of ASC’s nuclear sustainment program, underpinning Australia’s readiness for the Submarine Rotational Force – West (SRF‑West).

Operating within a highly integrated ecosystem, you will engage across Defence, international partners, and industry stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic and evolving environment.

You will be accountable for:

• End-to-end program delivery across cost, schedule and scope
• Establishing disciplined program governance and performance frameworks
• Driving clarity, alignment and execution across a complex stakeholder landscape

What You Bring

You are a seasoned senior leader with a track record of delivering complex, high-value programs in demanding environments. Experience within defence, government, major infrastructure, or adjacent sectors will be highly regarded.

You will demonstrate:

• Proven leadership of large-scale programs (>$200M+)
• Strong commercial acumen, including expertise in Earned Value Management
• Confidence operating in ambiguity and navigating evolving program landscapes
• A leadership style centred on influence, alignment and sound judgement

Critically, you bring the ability to:

• Align diverse stakeholders toward common objectives
• Navigate complexity with discipline and pragmatism
• Deliver outcomes while maintaining trust, cohesion and long-term relationships
