EL 1 Assistant Director, Business Engagement/Analysis

• Salary ranges from $127,351 - $142,452 + 15.4 % super.
• Canberra based role and requires candidate to be on-site 5 days a week.
• 12 months non-ongoing (with 6 months extension option) and potential for on-going.

In this pivotal role within the Digital and Service Delivery Branch, you will be at the forefront of defining and articulating business needs for diverse stakeholders. Your expertise will facilitate seamless communication between business units and technical teams, ensuring that ICT initiatives align with organisational objectives. Supporting the delivery of best-practice business engagement and design methods, you will help shape solutions that enable effective service delivery and operational efficiency.

What you bring:

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage expectations, facilitate discussions, and resolve conflicts
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring team members and coordinating across multiple groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring messages for diverse audiences
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
• Experience in contract and vendor management, with a focus on service delivery oversight
• Sound judgement and prioritisation skills to respond swiftly to major ICT changes

Desirable qualities include experience in ICT governance, shaping continuous improvement initiatives, and managing complex projects within government or large organisations.

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
• Demonstrated senior-level experience in ICT or business analysis
• Familiarity with technology architectures and project management practices
