Job Title: CNC Milling Machinist (5 Axis – Hurco, Fusion 360)

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Working Hours:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Program components using Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software

• Set up and operate Hurco 5 axis CNC milling machines

• Produce small, bespoke components to tight tolerances

• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models

• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies

• Carry out first off inspections using micrometres, optical projectors, and video measurement systems

• Optimise toolpaths and machining strategies to reduce cycle times

• Maintain machines and keep a clean, organised working area

• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years CNC milling experience

• Strong background in 5 axis machining

• Proficient in Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM packages

• Solid understanding of tooling, feeds & speeds, and machining strategies

• Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings

• Experience working to tight tolerances (0.01mm)

• Strong problem solving abilities and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Hurco machines..
  • Knowledge of 5-axis machining principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO programming / G-code.
  • Apprenticeship or technical qualification in machining.
