Program Manager - Engineering IT Systems

A Global Manufacturer in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced Program Manager - Engineering IT Systems to lead PLM/PDM governance, engineering documentation, and product data management initiatives across its global R&D organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration and continuous improvement of enterprise PLM/PDM platforms and engineering systems
- Support implementation and optimization of engineering documentation solutions (CAD, PDM)
- Drive governance and best practices for engineering data and system usage
- Improve engineering workflows through digital process enhancements
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and digital collaboration
- Support modernization initiatives across engineering tools and product lifecycle systems
- Develop standards and governance for engineering documentation and product data
- Promote continuous improvement across engineering operations
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Service, and IT teams
- Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners
- Support users through training, process guidance, and adoption of new engineering tools
- Facilitate communication across multiple business functions to ensure successful project execution
- Manage engineering product data, configuration structures, and complex multi-variant BOMs
- Ensure data consistency between CAD models, technical drawings, and product structures
- Support Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes and engineering release governance
- Maintain data quality across Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Service BOM (SBOM)
- Provide technical leadership for engineering systems and product data governance

Required Skills:
- 9+ years of exp supporting Digital Transformation, or Engineering Systems Modernization
- Exp in PLM/PDM platforms, or product data management within the automotive or manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), and Engineering Change Management (ECM)
- Understanding of CAD environments, product structures, configuration management, and BOM governance
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, and IT organizations
