Job Overview:
The machine repair and general maintenance technician will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance for the building and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Candidates will be responsible for independently maintaining the facility and equipment.
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge are required.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment components.
- Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and repair CNC Mills, Lathes and Robotics with limited direction.
- Prioritize work orders and emergency repairs based on equipment criticality.
- Develop and maintain plant wide preventative system.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Required to have a valid State driver’s license
- 4+ years of experience reading and understanding all schematics and blueprints
Core Competencies:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, CNC machines and controls.
- Ability to work with concepts when detailed prints, drawings, and specifications are not available.
- Ability to maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
- Ability to maintain mechanical machine tools to include lathes, grinders, mills, drills, machining centers, and other similar equipment.
- Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Exhibits teamwork skills
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours continuously during a shift.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. alone, or 70 lbs. with assistance, repeatedly over an 8-hour shift
- Ability to push or pull up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to see or have vision corrected with glasses/contacts to an evaluated level of no worse than 20/35.
Preferences:
- Associates degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills.
