Senior Martech Automation Developer

Contract to January 2027 | Melbourne | Hybrid Working | Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Martech Automation Developer to join our client AGL’s high-performing customer engagement and personalisation team, supporting the delivery of large-scale customer communications and marketing automation initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to collaborate across marketing, data, digital and technology teams to deliver personalised customer experiences at scale.

The Opportunity
As the Senior Martech Automation Developer, you will play a key role in the development, optimisation and governance of an enterprise marketing automation platform. You'll work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to design and deliver automated customer communications, improve operational efficiency and drive measurable business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of Martech expertise, campaign automation development, stakeholder engagement and delivery coordination.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build and optimise automated customer communication workflows
• Deliver strategic customer engagement and personalisation initiatives
• Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, Data, Analytics and Technology teams
• Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations for campaign automation design
• Manage priorities, dependencies and delivery timelines across multiple initiatives
• Drive operational improvements, automation and process optimisation
• Ensure data quality, platform governance and compliance requirements are maintained
• Support Agile delivery practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve customer and business outcomes

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong combination of technical capability, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
Key Experience & Skills
• Proven experience working with Adobe Campaign
• Strong background in marketing automation, CRM and customer communications
• Experience developing and maintaining complex automated customer journeys
• Solid understanding of SQL and data-driven marketing processes
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
• High attention to detail, quality assurance and compliance requirements
• Experience working within large, complex organisations
Highly Regarded
• Adobe Campaign Classic experience
• Exposure to the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem
• Personalisation, lifecycle marketing or customer journey optimisation experience
• Experience within enterprise customer-facing environments such as utilities, financial services, telecommunications, insurance or retail
