*** is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 3D Print Lab Technician to support the growing additive manufacturing needs of the Engines and Power Systems (E&PS), Design Plastic 3D Print Lab (DPPL).
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and managing the 3D Print Lab that supports engineering teams across a variety of programs. You will transform digital CAD models into physical parts used for full-scale mockups, rapid prototyping, tooling, fit checks, maintainability assessments, and engineering demonstrations.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for E&PS Plastic 3D print requests, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery while maintaining laboratory equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Additive Manufacturing Operations
Serve as the primary focal point for the 3D Print Lab, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable daily operations.
Convert engineering CAD models into printed parts through proper print preparation, build setup, material selection, and post-processing activities.
Coordinate and prioritize 3D printing requests from multiple engineering teams and customers.
Produce parts for:
Full-scale mockups
Rapid prototypes
Tooling and fixtures
Fit and form validation
Maintainability assessments
Engineering demonstrations and reviews
Equipment & Lab Management
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot 3D printers and associated equipment.
Perform routine maintenance to maximize equipment availability and print quality.
Manage inventory of printing materials, consumables, and spare parts.
Coordinate procurement activities and shipping of completed parts.
Customer Support & Project Coordination
Communicate project status and expectations throughout the print process.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Ability to work in a hands-on technical environment.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate with engineering and design teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Design, Additive Manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience operating or maintaining 3D printing equipment.
Technician experience supporting engineering organizations.
Experience working with CAD models and engineering drawings.
Experience with 3D printing processes (FDM, SLA) and post-processing techniques.
Familiarity with aerospace products, especially with Gas Turbine Engines.
Understanding of engineering design, prototyping, and product development workflows.
