Butcher- Premium Fresh Food Retailer

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Butcher to join our client’s flagship city store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, and is committed to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service.

About the Role
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for a range of butchery duties while also assisting customers across the fresh food department. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety standards, and an outstanding shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting, slicing, grinding and preparing meat products for sale
• Weighing, packaging, pricing and merchandising products
• Maintaining attractive displays and accurate signage
• Conducting quality checks and ensuring product freshness
• Assisting customers with product advice, orders and enquiries
• Supporting stock control, stock rotation and inventory management
• Adhering to food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Assisting with delicatessen customer service as required
• Working collaboratively with supervisors and the wider store

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a butcher in a retail or commercial environment
• Strong knife skills and meat preparation knowledge
• A commitment to food safety and quality standards
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment
• A positive, reliable and professional attitude
• A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
