Job Title: Entry-Level Plasma Operator / Fabrication Associate
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour ( Temp to Hire )
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am-5pm| Overtime Available
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals interested in starting a career in metal fabrication and plasma cutting operations. This entry-level position offers hands-on training for candidates who are eager to learn manufacturing processes, machine operation, and fabrication techniques.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with operating plasma cutting equipment and fabrication machinery.
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.
Measure and verify material dimensions using tape measures and basic measuring tools.
Load and unload metal materials onto machines and workstations.
Grind, deburr, and prepare materials for production.
Perform quality checks on finished products.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Steel Toe Boots
Assist fabrication and production teams as needed.
Qualifications
Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or fabrication experience is a plus.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment.
Preferred Experience
Metal fabrication experience (preferred but not required).
Plasma cutting, welding, machining, or manufacturing experience.
Experience using grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication tools.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Standing for extended periods.
Frequent bending, lifting, and moving materials.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
