Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour ( Temp to Hire )
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am-5pm| Overtime Available
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire


Position Summary
We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals interested in starting a career in metal fabrication and plasma cutting operations. This entry-level position offers hands-on training for candidates who are eager to learn manufacturing processes, machine operation, and fabrication techniques.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with operating plasma cutting equipment and fabrication machinery.

  • Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.

  • Measure and verify material dimensions using tape measures and basic measuring tools.

  • Load and unload metal materials onto machines and workstations.

  • Grind, deburr, and prepare materials for production.

  • Perform quality checks on finished products.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Steel Toe Boots

  • Assist fabrication and production teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn.

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or fabrication experience is a plus.

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Metal fabrication experience (preferred but not required).

  • Plasma cutting, welding, machining, or manufacturing experience.

  • Experience using grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication tools.

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending, lifting, and moving materials.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
