Based in Adelaide, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Home Assessor, Building Supervisor or Assessing professional with leadership experience who is ready to step into a Team Leader role with a business that genuinely invests in its people, systems and future growth.

Leading a team of six On Road Home Assessors, you will spend much of your time in the field, supporting your team and engaging directly with customers. You will play a pivotal role in coaching, mentoring and developing your Assessors as they manage property assessments, validate costs, ensure accurate Scopes of Works and oversee their assigned claims through to completion.

You will provide hands-on leadership, coordinate ongoing training and coaching, and ensure your team delivers a consistent, effective and customer-focused approach to onsite assessments, cost validation and Scope of Works accuracy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of ON Road Home Assessors
• Driving high standards across scoping accuracy, cost validation and claims management
• Managing escalated claims and complex customer matters
• Monitoring team performance, KPIs and operational outcomes
• Supporting process improvement initiatives across the Home Claims function
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and repair networks
• Providing ongoing training, feedback and capability development across the team
• Contributing to workforce planning and operational improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within Insurance, Home Assessing, Building, or Trade-related environments
• Strong background in estimating, scoping and assessing residential building repairs
• Ability to mentor, inspire and performance manage a team
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and time management capability
• Experience handling escalations, complaints or complex claims matters
• Insurance industry experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within Home Assessing or the broader Building industry
